Israel's defence minister has told its military to prepare a plan to "allow any resident of Gaza who wishes to leave to do so", in line with President Donald Trump's proposal for the US to take over the territory and resettle its 2.1 million Palestinians elsewhere. Donald Trump has sanctioned the International Criminal Court (ICC), accusing it of "illegitimate and baseless actions targeting America and our close ally Israel". In his latest round of executive orders, the new US president has taken aim at the ICC and rallied against what he called anti-Christian bias in the US. It comes as a US federal judge temporarily blocked Mr Trump's plan to reduce the number of government employees.
