Trump warned Cuba to "make a deal, BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE" after the US captured Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro. DÃaz-Canel emphasized Cuba's independence, stating they're only in technical contact with the US on migration issues. He stressed that relations should be based on international law, not hostility or threats. Cuba's economy is struggling, relying heavily on Venezuelan oil, which is now uncertain.

Well, to give benefits of the doubt means “to believe something good about someone, rather than something bad, when you have the possibilities of doing either” or “to trust someone even though you are not certain about the truth.”
