Cuban president says no talks with US amid Trump’s escalating threats

  Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel says there are no current talks with the US government, responding to President Donald Trump's threats to cut off oil and money to Cuba. Trump warned Cuba to "make a deal, BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE" after the US captured Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro. Díaz-Canel emphasized Cuba's independence, stating they're only in technical contact with the US on migration issues. He stressed that relations should be based on international law, not hostility or threats. Cuba's economy is struggling, relying heavily on Venezuelan oil, which is now uncertain.

The visit will reportedly focus on consultations regarding Iran's nuclear negotiations with the US. Araghchi's trip to Moscow highlights the ongoing diplomatic efforts to address Iran's nuclear program and its implications for global security.
