The woman, identified as Piper James, was discovered on K'gari Island, off the coast of Queensland, after telling friends she was going for a morning swim. Police Inspector Paul Algie reported that two men driving along the beach spotted around 10 dingoes near the body and immediately alerted authorities. The woman's body showed signs of interference by the dingoes, but it's unclear whether she drowned or was attacked. ¹ ² James had been working at a backpackers' hostel on the island for six weeks and was known to be familiar with the ocean and local wildlife. The Israeli military says it bombed the Hezbollah launchers used in the missile attacks aimed at the Megiddo Airfield, located near the city of Afula.
The military, writing on X, said it also attacked dozens of Hezbollah “targets” in several areas of southern Lebanon.
As we’ve been reporting, Hezbollah claimed six attacks on Israeli airbases and an explosives factory earlier on Tuesday morning. Israel said it intercepted most of the projectiles and that some fell in open areas.
