  Forced to Choose: Ex-Captive Shares Horrific Experience in Boko Haram Camp A former captive of Boko Haram has shared her harrowing experience of being held in a militant camp for four years. The woman, who was forced into labor and abuse, revealed that she and others were repeatedly pressured to renounce their Christian faith and convert to Islam. Those who refused, like herself, were subjected to harsh treatment and brutality.     In an interview, she recounted making four failed escape attempts, each met with severe punishment. It was on her fifth attempt that she finally managed to gain freedom. Her story sheds light on the extreme tactics employed by Boko Haram to force conversions and control captives.
