EastEnders actress Patsy Palmer says her home has "miraculously" escaped the flames, after her husband and children were evacuated.
The soap star, 52, who is in London, said her Malibu home had been surrounded by fires twice recently.
But many others have not been so lucky: The list of celebrities who lost their houses in the worst fire in Los Angeles history reads like a Hollywood who's who.
Reality star Paris Hilton said she watched her Malibu home "burn to the ground on live TV". She has launched an emergency fund to support displaced families, kickstarting it with a donation of £82,000.
Actor Mel Gibson, of Braveheart, said the loss of his family home and all his belongings in the fire was "emotional". It burned down while he was recording the Joe Rogan Experience in Texas.
Actor Sir Anthony Hopkins' home is also among those destroyed, the Wall Street Journal reported.
He wrote on Instagram: "As we all struggle to heal from the devastation of these fires, it's important we remember that the only thing we take with us is the love we give."
Actor Jeff Bridges, of The Big Lebowski, is understood to have lost a family home inherited in 2018.
Beyonce's mother Tina Knowles has lost a house she owned in Malibu.
"It was my favorite place, my sanctuary, my sacred happy place. Now it is gone," she said.
Actress Julia-Louis Dreyfus, star of Seinfeld and Veep, has reportedly lost her home in the Pacific Palisades.
