⏺ Nihon Hidankyo, a group of survivors from Hiroshima and Nagasaki, has been awarded the 2024 Nobel Peace Prize. They were recognized for its relentless work in advocating for the abolition of nuclear weapons. 


⏺ Nobel Committee Chair Joergen Watne Frydnes praised the group for its role in establishing the "nuclear taboo," which is now under threat.
