Trump 2.0 will be 'difficult for friends and enemies alike'
Trump's second term will see a "true tested team with a clear view of what it wants to do", a former deputy security-general of the UN has told Sky News.
Speaking to presenter Mark Austin, Lord Malloch-Brown said many had anticipated that a second term of Trump would not be like his first term.
"It's a clear break because he's had time to learn the lessons and the people around him have had time to learn the lessons," he said.
"This is a true tested team with a clear view of what it wants to do."
In terms of what this means for the rest of the world, he said "it's going to be a difficult period" and the UK will "feel a little chilled and isolated at this moment".
"The unpredictability and the lack of principle of American policy is likely to cause a lot of bumps and potential mistakes in the road as enemies and friends alike try to guess what Trump's red lines are," he said.
