Italian prime minister Giorgia Meloni has remarked on talks between Trump and Zelenskyy at the funeral, which saw leaders from across the world gathered in one place.
"Seeing Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelenskyy talking about peace at the funeral of the Pope of Peace has a such huge meaning," she said.
"Today has been a historic day."
She posted to X an image of Pope Francis that simply read: "To God."
There has been no second meeting between Trump and Zelenskyy due to the tight schedule of both leaders, the Ukrainian president's office said.
He did, however, hold separate discussions with Keir Starmer and Emmanuel Macron.
