Hamas may be about to sign its own surrender clause.

White House officials tell Israeli media Hamas could agree in the coming days to a phased disarmament of Gaza 

6 to 8 months, full weapons handover, tunnel maps included.

Talks are apparently in their final stretch in Egypt. No signature yet though.

Hamas wanted it backwards: keep the guns, hand over the paperwork.

Qatar, Turkey, and especially Egypt said no, leaning hard on Hamas to sign before it gets blamed for blowing up the deal.

Iran's playing the opposite hand, pushing Hamas to stall.

Everyone at that table has a different clock they're racing.

If Hamas signs, the technocratic government gets its precondition met. First weapons out, then reconstruction in.

Days, not weeks. Do you think Hamas does actually disarm, or does "in principle" quietly become "never"?
