The IDF has temporarily prohibited Palestinian laborers from entering Jewish communities across Judea and Samaria following a series of deadly terrorist attacks.
Workers will still be permitted to enter industrial zones, while individual communities may request exemptions for construction sites.
The decision follows Friday’s shooting near Havat Gilad, which left two IDF soldiers dead, and Saturday’s attack south of Hebron, where a Palestinian assailant seized a soldier’s weapon, opened fire and escaped.
Additional measures approved by Israel’s political leadership include:
✓ Revoking work permits
✓ Demolishing terrorists’ homes
✓ Expanding counterterrorism operations
✓ Reinforcing IDF deployments
✓ Separating Israeli and Palestinian traffic at key locations
✓ Advancing the legalization and establishment of farms
According to the IDF, the restrictions are intended to prevent further escalation and protect Israeli communities.
