79yr old man marries 27yr old lady after years of searching for a wife
A 79-year-old man from Moiben, Eldoret, in Uasin Gishu County, Kenya, has drawn public attention after marrying a 27-year-old woman.
In an interview with Tuko, the man’s grandson, Aruso Junior, shared that his grandfather had lost his previous wife a year ago. Despite his family’s objections, he expressed his desire to remarry just a few months after her passing.
The man’s sons reportedly disapproved of his decision, but he proceeded with the marriage.
Aruso said: “He was married, but the wife passed on. After a while, he wanted to marry, but the sons initially did not agree with him about marrying any woman.
Aruso also revealed that later on, his sons’s later agreed and let him search for a wife and after searching, Following this, the elderly man announced his intentions to his church congregation, who assisted him in finding a partner
“He informed his church that he wanted to remarry, and he was allowed because marriage vows are usually until death, and his wife had died.”
“There was backlash about my grandfather marrying a younger woman, but you know this lady was identified and presented to him by the church,” The couples tied knot on November 11th, 2024.
