President-elect Donald Trump announced on Thursday he has selected Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to lead the Department of Health and Human Services, the United States' top health agency. 

Republicans are set to take full control of the U.S. government by the third week in January, with President-elect Donald Trump in the White House and the party holding majorities in the Senate and now the House of Representatives, where late vote counting put it over the top on Wednesday. 

Trump will be sworn in as the country’s 47th president on January 20, two weeks after the new Congress has been seated.
