Cuban president says no talks with US amid Trump’s escalating threats

  Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel says there are no current talks with the US government, responding to President Donald Trump's threats to cut off oil and money to Cuba. Trump warned Cuba to "make a deal, BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE" after the US captured Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro. Díaz-Canel emphasized Cuba's independence, stating they're only in technical contact with the US on migration issues. He stressed that relations should be based on international law, not hostility or threats. Cuba's economy is struggling, relying heavily on Venezuelan oil, which is now uncertain.

Ukraine destroys Russian ammunition depot in Donetsk

A Ukrainian drone attack has destroyed a Russian ammunition depot near the village of Markine in Russian-occupied Donetsk region, a source told Reuters news agency. 


The depot stored thousands of ammunition rounds for armoured personnel carriers and tanks, anti-tank guided missiles, mines and grenades, plus millions of rounds of ammunition for guns of various calibres, the source in Ukraine's SBU state security service said. 


The attack also destroyed the nearby fuel storage facility, according to the source.
