Muslim youths have been observing pages from the Quran thrown in the bush which is frequently used by the locals for open defecation according to a report by Echub.
The community became extremely alarmed by these frequent occurrences and decided to take action.
The young person informed the local Imam about the situation and made the decision to keep an eye on the area for a few days.
They were able to identify the source of the desecration by catching the boy in the act proving their diligence.
The young child responded that his late father a Muslim had owned the Quran when he was questioned.
He acknowledged that the book had been in his room for a while.
The boy admitted to using the pages of the Quran without fully comprehending the significance of his actions. He was a Christian with limited knowledge of the text.
The Muslim community is incensed about the incident and many are demanding greater awareness and education regarding the importance of respecting religious texts.
