The Ukrainian president is next asked if his country can continue fighting Russia if the US were to withdraw its support.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy says he views the US as his partner and it is "important" to the country.
He says more meetings are planned in the coming weeks, and he is hoping security guarantees for Ukraine will become "clearer".
"We are working with the United States... assistance is coming and assistance in the shape of weapons and arms that was previously approved by the congress of the United States," he says.
"We like to hope for new assistance."
He explains that production in Ukraine and Europe has ramped up, but that his country "counts on" assistance from the US.
He warns that if that help stops, it would only be helpful for Vladimir Putin.
"I am working with my team on whatever challenges so that there will not be any surprises," he adds.
