Barcelona's pursuit of Benfica forward Vangelis Pavlidis has reportedly hit a roadblock due to the player's €100m (£85.9m) release clause.
The Catalan club is said to be hesitant about meeting the hefty price tag, despite Pavlidis' impressive performances this season. Pavlidis has netted 15 goals and provided five assists in 29 top-flight appearances for Benfica, making him a highly sought-after target.
Other clubs, including Chelsea, Newcastle United, and Everton, are also eyeing the 26-year-old striker.
