Israeli military vehicles have driven into the Al Amal hospital compound in Khan Yunis, stationing themselves in the front yard crowded with thousands of displaced people.
The tanks were reportedly firing live ammunition and smoke grenades, according to the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS). This move comes after Israel surrounded the hospital for over a week, raising concerns about the safety of civilians and medical staff. The PRCS also reported fire from Israeli tanks in the area, resulting in one death and nine injuries among displaced people.¹
