Kenya Bans Muslim Brotherhood and Hizb-ut-Tahrir

 


The Kenyan government has declared the Muslim Brotherhood and Hizb-ut-Tahrir as terrorist organizations, citing concerns over extremist ideologies and national security. 


The ban was issued by Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen through a gazette notice dated September 19, 2025.
