Son Arrested for Brutal Murder of Renowned Filmmaker Parents: A Family's Dark Secret Exposed Nick Reiner Arrested for Murder of Parents, Filmmaker Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Nick Reiner, the 32-year-old son of acclaimed filmmaker Rob Reiner, has been arrested and charged with the murder of his parents, Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner, who were found dead in their Brentwood, Los Angeles home on Sunday.

 

 
The couple, known for their philanthropic work and activism, were stabbed to death, with Nick reportedly being the prime suspect. Nick Reiner has struggled with substance abuse and homelessness, having been in and out of rehab facilities since his teenage years. His struggles were documented in the 2015 film "Being Charlie," co-written by Nick and his father, Rob Reiner.
