"For the past five years, I noticed that whenever people work with me and then do something very bad to me, when they leave, it always looks like things don't work out for them.
My first bidder left with two of my customers' appliqués. I didn't call him. Yes, I was h&rt. I had to buy new ones. After one year, he came back begging, saying things had not been working out for him.
Then there was another one of my students. I helped her with her project in 2020 because she didn't have money. One day, she disrespected me so b@dly because I was using my parlour then as a fashion school. She said a lot of things to me. Yes, I cried because, of course, it p@ined me.
She said I should try and act like a boss and questioned why I was using my parlour for my fashion school. Then she left.
When she graduated, I prayed for her. After six months, she came back and said her mother told her to apologise to me because that was why things were not flowing well for her. She apologised, and now she's doing so well.
This morning, one of my students reached out to me, saying that another student from one of my branches had been crying because, since she left, things had not been working well for her. She goes to church to cry and pray, and she said she even had a dream where she saw herself back in the academy.
Apparently, that particular batch had submitted their project, and I told them the dresses were just regular dresses and that they should do better. I advised them not to keep repeating the same designs because people only follow someone who is unique and doing something different.
I think some of them got upset about it and started saying h0rr!ble things behind my back. They said a lot of things about me.
I even had to send them a voice note apologising, telling them I was very sorry and that they could actually do whatever they wanted, and I would accept it. I was only trying to encourage them.
So when she reached out to me this morning, I was like, it can never be because of me. God forbid, because I pray for my students every day.
She said that since she left my academy, things have not been going well for her, and they asked her to go and apologise to the people she had wronged, and that I should please forgive her.
