Iran Claims Control Over Hormuz Strait Amid Rising US Military Tensions Today

 

Iran says the Strait of Hormuz is under its control as the US-Israel war on Iran continues, Al Jazeera reported August 15. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi blamed the US for violence in the strait. 

Tehran and Oman have now agreed on route coordinates in the Hormuz Strait to reopen shipping, after mediators pushed for US-Iran talks. Turkey's Foreign Minister is discussing the second phase of the 15-point Gaza deal and risks posed by Israel's attacks across Palestine, Lebanon and Syria
