Brazil's state oil company Petrobras has entered negotiations for four offshore blocks in Ghana's Keta Basin, Reuters reported Friday. The Energy and Green Transition Ministry approved its application to negotiate exploration contracts after Petrobras submitted expression of interest.
Sylvia Anjos, head of exploration, confirmed talks. This marks Petrobras return to West Africa as Ghana seeks to boost oil production. Keta Basin is underexplored compared to Jubilee fields but seen as frontier with high potential.
