Toronto-based Almonty Industries signed deal with Rwanda Monday to develop tungsten, giving Rwanda 25% stake. The partnership followed introduction by US Department of State and aligns with 2025 US-Rwanda Framework for Shared Economic Prosperity supporting critical minerals. US is deepening ties with DRC, Rwanda, Guinea, Kenya to loosen China's grip on supply chains. Venture will source ore from small-scale miners and Shyorongi concession before building central processing plant.
