South Africa, Zimbabwe In Talks Over $500m Dam Project

South Africa and Zimbabwe are discussing a $500 million dam to boost water security for a cross-border industrial hub. The proposed Thuli Moswa Dam in Thuli, Zimbabwe would hold about 430 million cubic meters and supply up to 90 million cubic meters to the Musina-Makhado Special Economic Zone in Limpopo. Documents show both governments view it as critical for industrialisation and regional water ties. Negotiations are ongoing as water demand rises in the drought-prone border region.
