ECG Announces Planned Outage in Ashanti Region

 The Electricity Company of Ghana has notified residents in parts of the Ashanti Region about a scheduled interruption in electricity supply on Tuesday November 3, 2026. According to JoyNews report today, the planned outage is to allow ECG to carry out maintenance activities on its distribution network to improve stability. Affected communities include selected areas in Kumasi and surrounding districts. ECG says power will be restored immediately after works. Customers are encouraged to follow ECG's social channels for updates and to turn off sensitive appliances.
